🧩 Toddler Development
Toddler Daycare in Coquitlam, BC
Play-based learning for children aged 1–3 that builds language, motor skills, and confidence — in a warm, licensed home daycare setting.
What To Expect
A structured, play-based day that grows with your toddler
The toddler years bring fast-moving development — new words, new physical skills, and the first steps toward independence. Our toddler program at Under The Sea Childcare is built around that pace: age-appropriate activities that stretch language, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional confidence through hands-on play rather than worksheets or screen time.
A typical day blends circle time and storytelling, sensory and art activities, active outdoor or gross-motor play, and quiet rest — giving toddlers the structure they thrive on while leaving room for curiosity to lead. We also support the milestones that matter most to parents at this stage, including potty-training readiness and the social skills toddlers need as they prepare for preschool.
Because our group stays small, caregivers get to know each child's personality and pace, adjusting activities to challenge them without overwhelming them.
